My favorite part about this class was designing pieces that I will use in my life. My inspiration for my resume came from learning about negative space. I thought I could make a strong visual impact with large social media icons utilizing negative space. I also chose a strong, bright color and contrasting fonts. I repeated the squares throughout for consistency. Placing the icons in the red bar was actually more difficult than I thought. I had to use the quick selection tool and reverse the selection to delete the background. However, it didn't always delete the whole background, so I had to go in and go pixel-by-pixel. Some of the icons weren't white so I had to fill them in with the paint bucket. It was pretty time-consuming but I'm happy with the results.  I'm actually really excited to use these for job hunting. I might take my resume to Career Services to see how else I can improve it.
