For this poster, I decided to keep the design pretty simple to focus on the image. I made sure to use a decorative font and a serif font to create contrast. In Photoshop, I had to blend and erase the blue sky around the hot air balloon to make it fit in with the slide. I used different layers for the text and the background. I made the arrow using the custom shape tool and I lowered the opacity on the R, S and E so the arrow would stick out more. For the revisionI decided to make some minor changes. I used the warp text tool to turn the "Rise" into an arch. I've noticed that I'm a fan of designs where things overlap and create visually interesting layers, so I made the balloon bigger to overlap with the word. Since the one side of the balloon is yellow and blended in with the word, I flipped the balloon. I erased the background of the logo because it didn't really match the rest of the design. The stock photo is from pexels.com.
