Exhibit #6: USU Deadline Display

For the digital display assignment, I decided to create a reminder about the last day to add and drop classes. I decided to keep the design very clean and not too colorful. I pulled the gray color from the woman's shirt to use for the text to try and make it coherent. I also kept increasing the size of the woman to try and make it eye-catching. In the McWade readings, the designers often make an image "overflow" into the rest of the design to create a really visually interesting effect. I tried to do that here. I will have to experiment with that technique more. I really like how the model is looking right at you and is acting really dejected. I think students can really relate to this feeling and I think that helps it catch the eye. I used the multiply blending move to easily remove the background on the image and darken up the color a bit. The stock image is from pixabay.com.
